1.The spears are packed with nutrients that may help ensure that your body is working optimally, increasing your chances of fertility.

2.In just five spears of asparagus, your body gets 100 mcg of folate. Folate is important to fertility for both men and women. Research has found that folate plays a role in producing healthy sperm in men and may beneficially affect awomans ability to ovulate.

3. Asparagus is also packed with some lesser-known nutrients like glutathion which is a powerful antioxidant. Antioxidants can neutralize free radicals, which are harmful compounds that can damage DNA and other parts of your and your baby's cells. Free radicals can also cause damage to sperm.

4.Asparagus also contains rutin, another lesser-known nutrient that may help with fertility. Antioxidants can help protect sperm, ensuring that the maximum number of healthy sperm is available for ejaculation.

5.Rutin also has strong antioxidant properties that can stabilize vitamin C, another vitamin found in asparagus. Vitamin C plays an important role in fighting free radicals and wrinkles and in boosting your immunity.

Role of SeaWeeds in Fertility

Role of Seaweed in Fertility

1. Seaweed is beneficial for fertility health for many different reasons. Seaweeds, also known as sea vegetables, are very high in nutrition. In fact they contain 10-20 times the vitamins and minerals of land vegetables.

2. Seaweeds have minerals that are readily and easily used by the body, this includes calcium, iron, zinc, magnesium, manganese and selenium.

3. Seaweeds contain vitamins A, B, C and E and fibre too.

4. Seaweeds are best known for their high iodine content.

5. Many women who experience fertility issues have found that
their thyroid is playing a role in their struggles .
So consumption of seaweeds cure thyroid problems.

6. According to some Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioners, seaweed eaten daily in small amounts (two tablespoons per serving) can help to strengthen the liver, kidneys, bladder, and adrenals. All of these areas of our body are important for healthy fertility.

7. Fiber in seaweeds also helps to remove excess estrogen in the body; this is very important for fertility issues such as endometriosis, PCOS, ovarian cysts, and uterine fibroids, all of which are estrogen dominant conditions.

8. Examples of Seaweeds are Agar,Arame,Dulse,Hiziki,Kelp,Kombu,Wakame

9. Commonly available sea weed is Agar Agar
Agar: This seaweed is popular for making gelatin like desserts (see strawberry mousse recipe below) because of its jelly like quality. It is found under the name Agar Agar as well. It is high in iodine and is often featured in salads. It is a white to clear seaweed.

10. The high nutritional content of seaweed’s contribute to healthy fertility overall. The high fiber content is extremely important for proper blood sugar levels; this is something to consider if you suffer from PCOS.
